the reason

an update about our christmas chalet before i make my way to church!



k so we all met up. some with low spirits cos needed to drag the steamboat (me) and others sianning cos they heard the room i booked was quite small and may not have enough space for all of us 21 people
BUT. everything worked out fine :)
i think it was one of our best chalets already ^^
cos the people there tried to make the best of everything instead of complaining and being spoilsports. which im very greatful for :D eg. the weather and the dirty area under the beds after we shifted them. k lemme go through the days :)

met them at JE mrt! during the train and bus rides i was like secluded from the girls (no jayi :() cos they were like chatting chatting about holidays and stuff which i have no interest in and cannot take part :O aiya partly cos i sianning also
so ya hanged with the guys as they played taiti on the bus!
then me Khairul Edwin tag team which is like totally redundant cos Edwin just overpowers and decides for us LOL ._.

lunch at Mad Jack at parkway parade mall! a mall i never knew existed :B
marketed for our groceries. first time we hit $240 wowz.
made our way to the chalet and still have to wait again for Carina Jayi Linpaing to appear to check in cos LP 18 years old :D

went to our room. ohya i got electric shocked x_x while trying to switch on the heater switch. which was like damaged and stuff. ouch man!
slacked around and decided to play the outside games which i've planned. THEN IT STARTED TO RAIN :(
like. pouring rain.
so went back and did some indoor games.

i bought this cute kids puzzle things and ask them to complete in groups.
THEY PROVED TO BE DIFFICULT HAH IT WASNT STUPID AFTER ALL :P
and some fail improvise make a bear thing la which is super fail k nvm~

shifted our 3 beds tgt! woo! then found this mess of dust and dead cockroach and cockroach eggs and other crap stuff x_x after we shifted them
so the boys got to work! used mama lemon spread over the floor. wet a towel and mop LOL seriously it was super clean after that :D
not bad not bad~
we all sat on the bed. i mean squeezed on the bed. then played the tap hand game which my church people always play :D
abit disrupted cos very squeezy and alot blankets etc cannot see their hands. but nvm at least they had an idea of it. the girls were owning :P
played 007bang ah! and squeeze hand murderer too! be murderer super fun eh ^^ but ok i suck at hiding my joy of getting the murderer card ._.

then we started to set up the steamboat and grill!!!!!
while some of us went to rent bikes cycle awhile. where it started raining 5min after we rented them AIYO
but its chill. sheltered at the pavilion? once rain stopped we all went out hhehe
some stayed to teach Nicole to bike. me and Jayi cycled to the water activity there. night breezes (Y)
found out a macdonalds branch is opened at the longbeach restaurant there. SO FAR.

went back and enjoyed a bowl of grilled hashbrown woo
cooked some stuff. get splashed by hot oil (ouch). fed the girls bacon/chicken/noodles. slacked around
then Jayi took out her camera to take photos k.

ohya i dip-dyed/ombred my hair btw :D sponsored by Lydia's dad!
we dyed our hair tgt at her house! needed to bleach it first though so its like super dry at the ends :(
it was supposed to be purple dye but its kinda faded now so is like violetish red? which is still cool.

k then settled the financial issues, where i was straining my voice TT
and some people left.
and played Circle of Death again with the alcohol we had :D



quite epic with all the chaining and stuff HAHA and the rules: cannot say vulgar and cannot touch anyone hhahaha
oh best is must say ''uhhhh'' (Carina style) after every sentence LOL
ya fun la drinking games are always fun :)

played till like 2+ where Sx puked x_x
and fell asleep while everyone else was learning to play poker from BJ. haha. the last thing i rmbed :P
woke up at 8+. not very lethargic! went to bathe in cold water urghhh
cooked some leftover food using the steamboat for our breakfast while playing poker
WOOO i got a profit of $3 hehehehe
packed up and ZAO~

lunched at BK and bumped into Zhiyuan and his school people lolol.
and yeah la. took the bus and train back home :)

yeah a good gathering :) will miss these people :)

hmmmm k need go to church now. help in CCIS event at orchard!

visited a dialysis centre for serve today and met up with Jayi, Jason to plan our christmas chalet :>
it was good catching up with them :)
ate at Mingsiew's workplace as well :) and got her to serve us hehe and join us after she ended her shift

chilled at the fountainside till 11.30pm

met this elderly guy in the centre who just wanted to pass on and not be a burden to anyone
he found he no meaning in life. like he's so weak. his only son could hardly support him as he has a low pay. all his friends passed away. not interested in any religion to give him hope. not even interested in doing anything like taking a walk
so he say everyday other then eating/sleeping/travelling to and fro the centre, he'll just stare at the clock and watch time goes by
that is just sad
like no inspiration to live anymore

what can one do?

money? but he cant go overseas cos he has to visit the centre thrice a week. anw he's not interested in exploring or walking or whatever
what's the point of living? the purpose?

last week was deciding between the dilemma of choosing poly or JC.
yes i know i said to many many people that i would go JC... AC or SA or JJ
BUT STILL the thought of being a sports trainer totally like lingered in my head since Uncle Peter gave us a talk about it during youth about 4 months ago?

k a sports trainer basically ensures the team is well rested, well eaten, etc. like i will help them do massages and make sure they drink healthily etc.
i was thinking of being a sport trainer for the SG netball team or sth :(
it was the perfect kind of job i had dreamt of. able to serve people and still keep healthy (cos i can train with them). money can become last to consider about
and if im good i can take part in major events like the olympics, i heard. cool.

ya so i consulted Uncle Peter already, he said best is go poly. cos JC wont teach me anything useful for this vocation, and i need to learn the bio stuff also
then i D:

my only reason for going JC is cos its easier to get into a Uni and have a 'brighter' future.
i dont really like the thought of studying like mad again. haiz
shall think about it nearer to the release of Os results....

went prawning with my pri school friends today! 

its been like 3 years since we met LOL. but ok fine i see Jazton every weekend and Yirui occasionally so.... 

but ya the rest :) the last time we went out was our cycling expedition to changi village to eat the nasi lemak LOL

it was abit awkward at first la. Darren's voice broke so much! and grow so much! he like the tallest LOL top scorer sia

shared 3 hooks among ourselves cos it was bloody expensive. $33 for 3 hours yay

i had expected it to be a bit boring cos of the wait but the anticipation was good enough :)

Houjoo started spam catching a lot of prawns :O i became the main official hook plucker cos its fun :D (remove the hook from the prawn's mouth)

and i caught the largest prawn! my first catch LOL i was waiting for like 20 min? very long. then felt a tug, faster passed to Jazton to flip it up :D

ITS MY CATCH cos my hands were holding the rod at that time :)

caught some pregnant ones too

BBQ-ed them at some pits available. the fire took very long to start :O
but man the prawns were yummy. juicy and stuff 8D
Darren and Yirui were complaining about the prawns' brain juices LOL.
we had a total of 37 prawns. no its not fantastic. i think one person can easily catch them in 2 hours according to forums online.
yeah i checked the forums to find out the best method of prawning. like eg how to hook the bait, how to flip the rod up. hehe. stupid la we lost like 8 prawns cos we didnt flip properly and they escaped :( WHY CANT THEY BITE THE BAIT PROPERLY :@

oh see the cat between HJ and Darren's feet? they were feeding it with uncooked prawns before the photo. cute :)
the cat also smart sia didnt eat the prawn heads we offered :O

went back to clementi to have dinner at one of the coffeeshops. i had astons! yumz. didnt join the guys in going LAN. waste money and time only!
all in all. quite successful outing :) we still managed to talk rubbish in the end also
would have been better if other girls went to... like Kelly or Chenyuan :/ oh well


SERVE tmr!

im in this church programme called SERVE where i have to report to church everyday (except monday) from 9am to 5.30pm basically to have more in depth bible studies and to experience the lives of office staff.

some people say im foolish, sacrificing so much of my time on ''church''

THINK ALL YOU WANT :) i made my decision.

finally got an opportunity to focus on God properly, why not! He deserves it.

have not seen my school friends for a week :(

nvm. if the friendship's strong it'll stay :) 

looking forward to our christmas chalet ^^ heng ah it almost clashed with my children camp :O

already felt bonded with the other SERVErs even though only a week passed :D

cos i dont usually get to work tgt with other youths of my age on things and talk to them properly

yay for serve :)

just ended this camp with CITY comm kids. they are a christian-based organisation that opens daycares at different primary schools. cool :)

very little turn-up of kids :O there were almost the same number as teachers/volunteers and kids LOL

but its fine, helped them to open up more during the sessions too :)

cos some of them were from broken families ah...

anyway it was a very well-organised camp :)

there's this night activity of running man where i was one of the chasers x_x

best ah i sprinted 5min straight after them kids and was tired after that. just went around scaring them and chilling at the sanctuary where there's air con :B

outing to marina barrage was disrupted by the rain D: played some indoor games and still played at the water area :)

LOL at first i wasnt playing. then one kid came and hoax me to the fountain side. thats when like 10+ kids come charging and splashing water at me LOL ._.

and they continued chasing and running after me ''go splash teacher chloe!!!'' (ah ya they are supposed to called me that)

completely drenched lo :( felt like i was drowning even though the water was barely touching my knees LOL i couldnt open my eyes!!!!

led praise for one of the sessions. it was great! :)

first time it was so successful (in a sense that my voice didnt crack or whatever. my musicians were always great and talented) and has a lot of the... ''feel''?

played alot of group games yes!!!! i shall add them to my phone so that i can play them with my clique next time :D

went for sakae buffet with the volunteers at citylink!

great fellowship :) salmon sashimi still the best la huh~

didnt eat so much this time. as in i wasnt bloated la just full :)

ok. want to sleep now cos i have to wake up early again tmr for this youth conference.

Prom

was not exactly a comfortable event with a dress threatening to slip off every 10 sec
and heels.... doing what they should be doing: killing my feet.
ah but it was enjoyable to a certain extent.
get to see everyone dressing up and watching them with our judgeful eyes aw

started out doing our make up at Jayi's along with Kaiying.
first time putting mascara on my own. cool :) IM A GROWN LADY
still rmb how last time i was so unwilling to wear dresses/skirts. now its like normal. how amusing :D
Jayi helped me with my eyeliner and concealer. there was this time where both of them were staring hard at my face ensure thats both sides were proportional. awkward....

painted nails and zoomm to MBS.
our room was damn cool it had a living room and a bed room separated by a wall. 2 bathrooms one with a bathtub. wa~~~
changed out. did our hair. camwhored a bit





went to Amara hotel by train LOL. the whole group of us! walking through MBS still ok... but once we reached tanjong pagar... siao la damn out of place :(
feet were already dying then





ok so prom was mainly....

buffet with good food (sth like Ben & Jaymie's wedding's :O)
pageant performances (yanda and faleyena were too sweet)
other singing performances
class chairpersons' dedication videos to CM (yes our 3 hours of work was a success :D)

thats.. about it. ya had a photo with all my ecs again. meh. most daring girl ftw.

cabbed back to MBS cos we couldnt take another step :(
just slacked and stoned at the couch until Benedict called us to go to their room cos they got drinks LOL
Khialynn there also! so yep we went and we played games where losers had to drink
enlightening :)
most of them were surprised that Benedict's attitude was so friendly and.. warm? SEE TOLD YOU YOU LOOK LIKE A PAIKIA. k i win

went back to our room at 4+? witnessed Jayi's moment of insobriety
took turns to bathe and slept from 6 to 8. 2 hours! great!



swam (paddling for me) in the infinity pool on top. it was gorgeous :) the edge wasnt as scary as i thought. cheh~~ but the view was good :D
the water was freaking cold though. we could hardly move in the pool LOL. went back to the comfort of the jacuzzi where we camped there even though ang mohs started joining us. heh
oh btw jacuzzi helps you to burn fats! i was 0.3kg lighter LOL. me and Carina kept like putting our fat arms and tummies near the bubbling thing. bubble our fats away~~

bathed and all of us dazedly went to marina square for lunch
all of us were stoning already. no strength~~
went back home like good kids. bought gongcha with Jayi and BJ!

went to SJCp bowling in the evening later on. not bad i still could hit 80+ points. :D
T8 won 3rd in the competitive bowling :O wow
good fellowship with the younger ones :)
